The management of nurse manpower resource relates to several topics, especially those such as reasonable manpower allocation, efficient usage, competition inspiriting, improving ability, cost-efficiency, etc.. Because they all relate to the medical service quality, patient safety, the rights of both patients and nurses, building up excellent nurse teams, and the development of nursing profession, they are focused increasingly by hospital managers. The author described the concepts and the developing trend of manpower resource and manpower resource management in this article, analyzed the nurse manpower status in quo in Guangdong province, and discussed the countermeasures against the main problems existing in current human resource management system.
