Value Proposition: AMESim platform (ALL in one) and good and fast interfaces with other tools if necessary Solution (Approach, What Implementation): Benefits/Results: Multi domain multi skills system simulation and testing References: GM thermal lock-up modeling, Formula 1 carbon clutch, Siemens DCT, Renault AMT …. Technical Informations : Thermal : Analysis of the increase of temperature of each disk surfaces. The result of torque transfer during a clutch slipping phase generates a friction power. This friction power produces a heat flow into metal capacity. The temperature of the metal capacities increase and exchange heat flow by conduction convection and forced convection with oil flow. It permits to design the quantity of oil flow to avoid the burning of the disk surface. The increase of temperature changes the friction coefficient, the oil viscosity and the normal forces (due to metal dilatation). Hydraulic : clutch control and gear shift control. Hydraulic network with pipes, switch valves and pressure regulators, pump (gyrotor). Mechanic : DCT uses concentric shafts or intermediate shafts. (not only primary and secondary). The flexibility of AMESim permits this kind of mechanic architecture Driveline : Tip in Tip out analysis, engine control end gearbox control to avoid peak of acceleration into the vehicle (X and Z accelerations) * Driveline : Tip in Tip out kick down, jump start analysis, engine control end gearbox control for gear shifting to avoid peak of acceleration into the vehicle (X and Z accelerations and pitch). 2D vehicle model, 3D engine block on engine mounts are necessary.
