Step I lead-in
Talk with students briefly, helping the students begin a new topic. Encourage students to talk freely.
Step II Warming up
Get the students to do Activity 1 on Page 26 and also talk about other pictures. Get them familiar with talking about different clothes styles.
What kind of clothes do you like? Now, here are some pictures for you.
Show the following pictures.

Work in pairs to talk about what people are wearing and which photo you like best.
Give students three minutes to talk freely.
Students may refer to the following aspects to their own opinions:
1. Are the clothes formal or informal?
2. How does it make people wearing it look?
S: I like the dress in the first picture because I like white dress and it makes the model look really charming.
S: I like the shirt in the second picture because we are students and the shirt is casual and it can make us look pure and lovely.
In formal occasions, we’d better wear suits just like those in the third and the forth pictures. I think suits are very nice. They can make people look mature and give other people sense of trust and profession.
Step III Listening
Get students to do Activity 2 on Page 26.
