Meth ods S bjects w ere 120 HFS patients w ho nderw ent LSR monitoring d ring MVD ( gro p A) . Facial nerve are decompressed from the root exit zone to the internal a ditory meat s according to the res lt of LSR monitoring . T he res lts w ere compared w ith another 120 HFS patients w itho t LSR monitoring d ring MVD previo sly ( gro p B) . Results 92( 76. 7%) patients in gro p A and 76( 63. 3% ) patients in gro p B achieved immediate resolve. The final follow - p show ed com plete resolve in 90% ( gro p A) and 88. 3% ( gro p B) , excellent res lt in 97. 5% ( gro p A) and 95. 0% ( gro p B) . Conclusion F ll length decompression identified by intraoperative monitoring can decrease the incidence rate of delayed resol tion. O r findings s ggest that distal portion compression of the facial nerve has obvio s infl ence on the res lt of MVD s rgery .
