Abstract This paper reports the results of the investigation on the variety resources of S ap ium sebif er-
um in 82 counties of 16 provinces in China.S ap ium sebif erum is divided into 44 farm varieties and 11
clones according to the characters.The distribution and properities of these varieties are described.
