The book is divided into six chapters, which introduces com- prehensively the cultural source of American Latino literature, literary branches, the Diaspora expe- riences of writers, the literary expression of identity, the construction of the character’s multiple cul- ture identity, diversified narrative methods and the general situation of American Latino literature, analyzing the main writers and their works one by one. A Study on Contemporary American Latino Li- terature has four prominent features. The first is the problem consciousness, seizing the key problems of contemporary American Latino literature study; the second is the creative spirit, using a large num- ber of first-hand materials of novel content; the third is it is history oriented, shaking the leaves to find the roots and enjoy the stream to find the source through history; the fourth is its comprehensive me- thod, using the research materials and perspectives of many other disciplines such as history, po
