W hen the m easurem ent is conducted w ith the device, the earth surface voltage distribution is m easured first to determ ine the spo t where voltage po le is installed. Frequency conversion technology w as used to avoid alternat ing curren t d isturbances and to ge t a reasonab le m easurem ent precision. Com pared w ith the trad itional m ethod, in w hich a large current is necessary, the capacity, the w iring length and the needed labor o f the proposed system are reduced by 80% , 60% and 62% , respectively, w ith a difference in m easured resistance be ing about 6% .
