About the book: The author fell in love with Charlotte in a party and then wrote the world-famous novel The Sorrows of Young Werther. This is an epistolary novel and the story is very simple, but it is not entirely fictional, it embodies Goethes life experience. Summary: Werther is a youth who loves nature and has superior abilities to write poetry and good in painting, but he is sentimentality. At a ball, Werther met the judge’s daughter, Charlotte, and fell in love with her at first sight. Getting along with her, Werther feels like in heaven .But she has been engaged with Albert, and she can not accept the Werther’s love. With disappointed, Werther tasted the joy of love and then became worry, so Werther had decided to leave his beloved Lotte and return to the city. Later, he worked as an officer. After repeatedly rebuffed, he left the officialdom, and went back to his beloved village, while the things are still there, but men are no more the same ones. Lotte married Albert, and kind-hearted villagers one by one became misfortune.
