Brief Analysis on Wuthering Heights Abstract Wuthering Heights --- the talented English writers only novel. It releases unique, shining and splendid glory in the brilliant literary constellation of the nineteenth century. It is known as 19th centurys most peculiar novel, a soul of drama and a writer could write the best prose poem. The kind piercing love of Heathcliff and Catherine shocks people, at the same time, it also leaves many thoughts to posterity. Love has always been to bring rich colors to the tragedy from its formation of the human spirit. Its tragedy is always there to breed in the characteristic social roots and its limitations of the times, and the heros personality and ambivalence are to promote its development. Their tragedy is inevitability. ⅠIntroduction Wuthering Heights is a novel by Emily Bront?, written between October 1845 and June 1846, and published in 1847 under the pseudonym Ellis Bell. It was her first and only published novel: she died aged 30 the following year. The decision to publish came after the success of her sister Charlottes novel, Jane Eyre. After Emilys death, Charlotte edited the manuscript of Wuthering Heights, and arranged for the edited version to be published as a posthumous second edition in 1850. Wuthering Heights is the eponymous farmhouse on the Yorkshire moors where the story unfolds. The books core theme is the destructive effect that jealousy and vengefulness have, both on the jealous or vengeful individuals and on their communities.It received mixed reviews when first published, and was considered controversial because its depiction of mental and physical cruelty was so unusually stark, but later critics argued that Wuthering Heights was superior.
