Play a piece of music and show some pictures.
Aim: Arouse Ss’ interest and lead in the topic of this class.
Step1 Greeting and Fast reading
1. Ask and answer some questions about the music and pictures..
Introduce the background of the reading.
(3) Fast reading:
Task1 Questions: What is the text about?
Scan the passage and answer the question .
Aim: Cultivate the Ss’ abilities of skimming and scanning to grasp the information
Step2 Careful reading .
(1) Task 2 Read Paragraph 2 and 3 carefully and finish the chart
(2) Task 3 Read paragraph 4 and do exercises
