In fact, there exist totally two differentdescriptions of the slaves. All black slaves confronted with the sore trading life. Their life is full of struggle, fear and uncertain things in Uncle Tom’s Cabin. While, Gone with the Wind illustrate a harmonious scene between slaves and slave owners. Although it appears different treatment to two slaves in two novels, there also comes the same point of the two slaves, which is they all act as the lowest class people, and their obligation and responsibility is to give service to their owners. Therefore, the research method of this paper is comparative analysis approach, the paper compares the different characters of black slaves and the different slaves’ fate in two novels. This paper also analyzes the reasons why the two black slaves’ situation is different from three aspects, the first reason is the different social bracket; the second is the different subject of two novels, the third is two authors’ attitudes towards slaves. The slaves’ suffering lives can reflect the American history. it also can imply the selfish and exploitative nature of human beings and capitalist. Hence, it is valuable to do more research about it. This paper concludes the black slaves in two novels and demonstrates the different reasons that lead to this phenomenon, the purpose of the thesis is tempted to appeal the peace of world and diminish the discriminationbetween the different races, advocate the equal right of the human beings as well.Key wo
