A review of the treatment for releasing myofascial pain syndrome 【Abstract】Myofascial pain syndrome is one of many painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system. It constitutes some of the most important chronic problems encountered in a clinical practice. it is actually a difficult problem for the clinician interested in determining the aetiology of the pain, as well as in managing the pain. The purpose of this article is to have a review of the treatment for releasing myofascial pain syndrome. The therapy technique which associated to this article are Ultrasound-Guided Trigger Point Injections, dry needle and massage.【Keywords】myofascial pain syndrome, treatment, Ultrasound-Guided Trigger Point Injections, dry needle, massageIntroduction to myofascial pain Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS),one of the common muscle pain syndrome, is associated with discrete taut bands of hardened muscle that contain regions of exquisite muscle tenderness. It may be a central hypersensitivity syndrome, but little research has been done on this point in MPS. Astriking property of MPS painful regions is that they generate referred pain that is felt in adifferent, usually distal, site. The site of referred pain perception can be in the same limb, in the same region, in the body wall, or in a visceral organ. Referred pain tends to be segmental,so that referred pain patterns are usually located in sites innervated by adjacent or nearby spinal cordsegments. Myofascial pain is defined as pain that originates from myofascial trigger pointsin skeletal muscle. It is prevalent in regional musculoskeletal pain syndromes, either alone or incombination with other pain generators. The myofascial pain syndrome is one of the largestgroups of under diagnosed and under treated medical problems encountered in clinical practice.Trigger points are commonly seen in patients with myofascial pain which is responsible for localized pain in the affected muscles as well as referred pain patterns.Crrent situationNow
