Details Virtual Routers (VRs) help solve a problem common in today’s networking environment: overlapping private IP addresses that often result from multiple partners accessing resources over a VPN or multiple customers being protected by a single platform. A NetScreen device that is implemented with at least 2 VRs can conceal routing info for a particular IP address from the other routing table, which may also have a route for the same IP address. ? Whereas, VLANs and physical interfaces allow the traffic to be segmented, Virtual Routers allow different routes for the same IP address.
