Part one Analysis of the Teaching Material
Ⅰ.Status and Function
The topic is selected from 《Go for it 》grade8 bookAUnit2. The teaching content is from 1a to 1c. The main idea of the topic is to talking about health problems. It is close to students` daily life. So it is helpful to raise learning interests of the students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English. There are many new words and expressions in the topic. Such as vocabularies about body parts.. What’s more I should teach the students to learn to use the structure of talking about one’s illness. It is helpful to improve the students` ability of communication.
Ⅱ Teaching Aims and Demands.
(1) Knowledge Objects
To learn new words: body parts such as head, nose, eye, ear. And some ailments such as headache, toothache, stomachache, sore throat
To learn the structure of talking about one’s illness: What’s the matter? I have a sore throat/a stomachache /a toothache
(2) Ability Objects
To develop the students` abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
To develop the students` abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.
(2) Moral Objects
Develop Students’ healthy way of life and confirm the idea that health is better than wealth.
Part Two Analysis of Students
First, Students have a general idea of body parts in English since their primary school time. Secondly, as the HIN1 flu is prevailing , Students show great concern about health, so from these two aspects, this lesson is very familiar to the students.
Part three Teaching key and difficult points
ⅠTeaching Key Point.
To master the key vocabulary and the target language in this period.

To train students how to talk about one’s illness and see a doctor in their daily life.
