And the New English Curriculum Standards for Senior Middle School states, “Senior Middle School English aims to develop students’ comprehension in reading and improve their comprehension in listening, speaking, writing.” It is obvious that the syllable focuses more on reading than any other skills. But the traditional reading teaching tends to be teacher-centered, students are passive to learn. Teachers only emphasize the vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and translation. As a result of,students know little about the relationship between sentence and sentence and are unable to analyze the structure by themselves.
