This paper made an investigation and analysis of the current situation and actual demand of the city parking. Based on mobile communication, GPS and GIS technology, and the “Internet plus”background, a smart city parking mode was designed, and a smart parking system for city cars was developed. In this system, the parking lot information from different locations was gathered together. It provided a real-time update, query, reservation and navigation services of city parking resources.This study will promote the efficient use of existing parking resources, get an optimization of the parking service, and effectively alleviate the contradiction between parking supply and demand to solve puzzle of city parking. Further, it will promote the construction of intelligent transportation and smart city.
