Abstract Objective: To explore the relationship between handwriting features and personality traits. Method: 75 samples of valid handwriting were collected under the standard writing conditions, and Chinese Seven Factor Personality Scale (CSPI) was administered at the same time. A correlation analysis was made between handwriting features and the corresponding personality traits after converting the pic- tures of Chinese handwriting into digital data with the software of CCQA4.0. Results: There was significant correlation between the seven personality traits and several corresponding handwriting features (P0.05, P0.01). It had different handwriting features com- binations regarding seven personality dimensions across genders. Conclusions: (1) The average taken areas of the words and other 15 handwriting features ,were significantly correlated with different personality dimensions. (2) Different handwriting features combina- tions are correlated with every personality trait across genders.
