receive an invitation you should reply at once
whether you can come or not. If you can’t
make the decision at that time, you may say,”
May I let you know this evening?” Or some
such words.
However, in China it is much more casual in
the matter of replying to invitations. People
sometimes even decline the invitation just
before the party.
