Abstract: Based upon the expermi ental study on the seism ic behavior of three /3 scale h igh shearw alls, including
a h igh shearw allw ith steel frame, a high shearw allw ith steel truss and a usual one, the bearing capacity, stiffness
and its attenuation, ductility, hysteretic property and failure phenomena of d ifferent types of the shearw allsw ith
concealed bracing are d iscussed. The expermi ental resu lts show that the seism ic behavior of the h igh shearw allw ith
steel fram e and the h igh shearw allw ith steel truss are obviously mi proved compared w ith the usual one.
