Exercises  Uses and notes 使用名词单复数时用法和 应注意的事项  1.表示不可数名词量的概念，要使用单位名词，如：a piece of furniture, a burst of laugh 2. 某些数量词语只能修饰可数名词，如： many, few, a few, a number of, a good many of 3.某些数量词语只能修饰不可数名词，如： Much, little,a little, a large deal of , a large amount of 4.某些数量词语可修饰可数名词修饰又不可数名词，如：some. plenty of, lots of, a lot of 5. 有些名词复数形式表示特殊的意义： 如时代times, works 著作，goods 货物， greens, regards, contents, papers等. 6.有些名词常用其的复数形式如 shoes, scissors, trousers compasses ,spectacles, surrundings,findings,earnings等 7.表示学科的名词看上去是复数，其意义是单数。如： Physics,politics, electronics, mathematics 名词的定义 名词是表示人，物，地点以及抽象概念的名称的词。 Eg: apple苹果 pear 梨 book 书 park 公园 teacher 老师 可数名词与不可数名词 名词也可以按其可数性分为可数名词（countable noun）和 不可数名词（uncountable noun）．　类名词皆可数，集体名词大都可数，专有名词、物质名词和抽象名词多不可数。 名词的规则复数形式 一、在词尾加-s Eg: desk-desks map-maps 二、以s, x, ch, sh 结尾加-es Eg: class-classes dish-dishes box-boxes church-churches（教堂） 三、如词尾为f 或fe， 将f或fe变为v 再加es 。(f或 fe变为ves) Eg: leaf-leaves knife-knives 四、以辅音+y 结尾的名词，变y 为i，再加es. Eg: party-parties family-families 五、以辅音+o 结尾的常用名词，一般加-es. Eg: potato-potatoes tomato-tomatoes hero-heroes 六、不少以-o 结尾的外来词，变为复数形式只加-s.
