Chapter 7 Sales Promotion Contents Objectives of Training To familiarize students with the basic knowledge of sales promotion in business negotiation; To enable students to know well the structure of letters aiming at sales promotion as well as related terms and useful expressions; To acquaint students with some names of stationery; To strengthen students’ ability to write letters on sales promotion. Probably Working Environment Song Ling,after graduating from business school 3 years ago,now serves as the sales manager in the Import Export Department of Ningbo Liwen Stationery Co. Ltd., which is a foreign trade company specializing in the export of various stationery items,including files, photo frames, photo albums, note clips, Pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, tape dispensers, spiral pads, notebooks, ball point pens, business card holders, file folders, Probably Working Environment document folders, and key rings. Since the early 1980s, the products have been mainly sold to many Asian and American countries and regions. At present, the company is planning to expand its business into European markets. Song then needs to share the responsibility by promoting their newly-developed products to the European markets.
