The cutting principle and mechanical analysis of a longitudinal
slicing machine

Abstract: The longitudinal slicing machine is one of the equipment of the reconstituted wood production line to produce
single plates. Small diameter wood is the processing object of the longitudinal slicing machine. Based on the principle
of cutting of the longitudinal slicing machine, we obtained the cutting method of the longitudinal slicing machine. We
calculated the changes in the scope of the planing capacity of small diameter wood of different specifi cations. The factors
provide a theoretical basis for the whole design and they help to choose the right power.
