Section 8 Super Components Super Components Super components are components that you group together to perform an overall function within a network. It is also possible to build a range of super components (each dedicated to a specific function) and save them in a network which can be used for later reference. Super Component Family FLOWMASTER v6.3 allows the super components created in one project can be used across the different project by using the “Super Component Family” toolbar Created super components are available through new super component family bar Create a Super Component Use the mouse to draw a box around the components that will form a super component Create a Super Component  Go to the “View” menu and select “Super Components” followed by “Create”. In the dialog box that is displayed, enter the super component name and then click OK. Create a Super Component The components now appear as a single component. Storing Super Components To save a super component to a network, click on “Save” icon. Then go to the “Option” menu and select “Use for Super Component Family”. Retrieving Super Components To retrieve the super component, click on the super component family. Add Text to a Super Component To add text to super component goto the “Display” menu and select “Configure”. The Configuration dialog is displayed. Click on the “Text Control tab”. In the “Network Text Placement” box, click the “Add to Super Component if Within Bounds” radio button and click OK. Add Text to a Super Component Click “Add Network Text” button. Click within the super component box, where you would like to add your text. Add Text to a Super Component In the dialogue box, enter your text and click OK Scaling Super Component Text Place the cursor on the text you desire to scale. It will change colour.
