I wish to express congratulations on the opening of the summit and thanks to the government of the Kingdom of Bhutan for the thoughtful arrangements.南盟是南亚各国共谋合作、共促发展的重要平台。成立25年来，南盟合作领域不断扩大，合作内涵不断丰富，为促进南亚的和平与稳定，推动地区经济社会发展发挥了不可替代的重要作用。SAARC is an important platform for advancing cooperation and common prosperity among South Asian nations. In the past 25 years since the founding of the organization, cooperation among SAARC members has developed in breadth and depth. It has played an irreplaceable role in promoting peace and stability in South Asia and stimulating economic and social progress in the region.一个和平、稳定、繁荣的南亚，一个团结、合作、进步的南盟，符合包括中国在内的本地区各国的共同利益。中国为南盟发展取得的成就感到由衷的高兴，对南盟未来的发展充满信心。A South Asia that is peaceful, stable and prosperous and a united SAARC geared towards cooperation and progress serve the shared interests of all countries in the region, including China.
