The Survey and Research on English Education of Primary Schools in Rural Areas 摘要：小学开设英语是新世纪社会发展的需要，是知识经济时代为了更好的发展与国际发展接轨的必然要求。小学英语教学有其独特性，是以激发学生的学习兴趣为前提的，通过听、说、读、唱、玩、演等方式，着重于发展学生的学习主动性、积极性及学习智力，使之获得语言知识技能，形成初级语感、语音、语调，培养其简单英语语言交际的能力。要取得小学英语教学的成功，就应当把握好其特点，遵循其原则。广大农村小学受到特定的社会经济环境诸因素制约，长期存在的老大难问题不能从根本上得到解决，给英语教学的顺利开展带来极大困难，严重阻碍了整个农村基础教育事业的健康发展。这几天，我对所在学校的英语教学现状进行了全面调查，就课程开设、师资配备和教学效果等方面展开了横向比较及成因分析，发现我校英语教学普遍存在着以下问题，集中体现在“教学条件艰苦、教学设施简陋、教学手段落后、教师配备不齐、思想观念保守、教学方法陈旧、教学效率低下、社会评价不良”等多个方面。因此，笔者认为农村小学英语教学中的落后面貌必须引起高度重视，积极探索和研究对策，采取切实有效的措施，从根本上解决客观存在的各种问题，才有可能实现稳步提高英语教学质量和整体教学水平的目标。Abstract: For kinds of reasons, there are many problems in English teaching in rural primary schools，such as, the problems of teachers, the problems of teaching equipments, the problems of environment and the problems of teaching effects and so on. The level of English teaching becomes the bottleneck of the rural primary schools’ education quality. For solving the problem, this essay did a series of researches through visiting and checking data. English education at primary school develops fast in resent years, a lot of English courses out of school sat out to help students to get a high mark. Primary school English teaching in China still have a lot problems, the limit of teacher, teaching material, content of courses, instructional mode and so on. Although the development of English education in China has been on for half a century, English teaching in primary schools nationwide began in the autumn of 2001.Setting English course in primary schools is the main content in curriculum reform of basic education in our country. English classes usually open in the third grade and above, Coastal and developed areas start from elementary grade. To popularize English teaching, Chinas current situation of primary school English teachers isn’t qualified.
