Improved mouse wheel system The mouse wheel is yet another crucial part of a gamers most important tool. With many traditional mice, the mouse wheel is not so sturdy, because the developers thought the mouse wheel was just for scrolling up and down. Gamers actually use the mouse wheel as an extra button on the mouse which is used just as frequently, if not more, than the other buttons – many gamers replace their mouse every 3 months, because their mouse wheel breaks. We have used an optical encoder instead of the cheaper traditional mechanical system to make sure that our mouse wheel is the most durable and precise mouse wheel on the market today. We expect that the lifetime of our mouse wheel is longer than 5 years. Gamers no longer have to worry about jumping or skipping at the worst possible times, due to controls set up on the mouse wheel. Big, stable mouse feet We have designed the mice with two big mouse feet on the bottom to provide a stable movement. The mouse feet are made of pure teflon, allowing for swift and precise movements. DPI adjustment switch on the bottom We believe that gamers does not require an “on-the-fly” solution to adjust their DPI settings. All gamers want to have stability in their game and if they have problems in a certain situation, they will adjust their on settings in-game. The settings you can change physically, such as DPI on the mouse, stays the same. Based on feedback from HeatoN, the DPI-adjustment button is located below the mouse to avoid miss-clicking it during an intense gaming session. Redefining Competitive Gaming Equipment We don’t claim to have invented any new technology for our mouse. We have just taken the time to research on the needs of a gamer and then developed on current technologies and made modifications as we see fit. The result of our work is the ZOWIE EC mice.
