The status of leachate treatment technologies and the main problemsw ere analyzed. The development d irections of different technology links w ere d iscussed on the base of the main engineering technical route of pretreatment + biological treatment+ advanced treatment. It w as put forw ard that the upgrad ing of existing technologies, and development and industrial app lication of new technologiesw ere key areas for landfill leachate treatm ent technologies development. In these areas, the development and application of advanced oxidation technologies based on hydroxyl rad icalw as an mi portant research d irection. A lso an efficient integration betw een advanced oxidation processes and biochem ical processesw as a significant direction of technology development. The research results provided references for landfill leachate renovations and new bu ild ing landfill leachate projects to meet the new standards.
