However, students has different plan for future so they always tend learning courses from their own ideas. Some students choose to learning a course in order to get a certificite for their job after graduat. Because they think that some more knowledge could give more chance of find a good job. Another may chose for have a good time. They like to think that college life could be interesting if they rich their knowledge in electives. As far as I’m concened, I’m chose to choose electives for the value of the courses and myself’s interest. With the reform of education, an increasing number of universities are putting more emphasis on nurturing students’ capabilities. As a result, there are a variety of elective courses available not only for excellent academic achievers but for the average ones. Students usually choose their own electives for different reasons. For some, practical skills are the major content of college education, so courses on computer science and finance are on the most preferred course list. Others would like to have access to literal world, therefore, electives concerning literature, history, and philosophy are their favorites. As for me, bearing the idea of free education in my mind, I am for the notion that university is not a place for survival skills, but a palace of knowledge as well as critical thinking.
