(L.58)看起来美式快餐是世界上最受欢迎的。 “It seems+ that 从句”意思是“看起来似乎。”That可以省略。本册出现含有seem的句子还:It seems to be an interesting book. (L.89) “ It seems to +动词原形”与“It seems+ that 从句”意思接近。 3.----Do you think pizza is/ are very popular in Italy/China/…? 你认为比萨饼在意大利/中国受欢迎吗？ ----Yes, I think so./ No, I don’t think so. (L.58)是，我这样认为；不，我不这样认为。 句中 “Do you think?” 是征求对方意见或建议的。同意时应为：Yes, I think so. 反之No, I don’t think so. 征求同意与不同意的句子还有：Do you agree…?(L.58)肯定回答Yes, I agree. 否定回答：No, I don’t really agree. 4.Either my father or my mother cooks dinner on weekdays. (L.59)平常日子里不是我爸爸就是我妈妈做饭。 either 可以作代词，表示“两者中任何一个”，谓语动词用单数形式。如： Either of the girls is kind. either 和 or 连用，构成“either… or” 连词结构，意思为“不是…就是…”，“或者…或者…”。表示两种可能性中的任何一种，连接主语时，谓语动词采用就近原则。如 Either mum or I cook supper. Either I or mum cooks supper. neither作代词是either 的否定形式，表示“既不是这一个也不是另一个”，谓语动词用单数。如：Neither of them is tall. Neither 和 nor连用，意思为“既不…也不…”。连词结构“neither…nor…”,连接两个主语时，谓语动词采用就近原则。如： I neiter play football nor do homework.. Neither is parents nor he was there. Neither he nor his parent6s were there. 5.Can we sit at the table by the window?
