汽 车 专 业 英 语Special English for Automobile 主讲人：黄学勤 Instructor：Huang Xueqin Section B Service and Repair Manual 1.DIAGNOSE SYSTEM (a) Description: ECM controls the function of immobiliser on this vehicle. Data of the immobiliser or DTC can be read from DLC3 of the vehicle. When a trouble occurs on immobiliser, MIL does not light up but DTC inspection is performed. Therefore when there seems to be a trouble on immobiliser, use TOYOTA hand-held tester or SST to check and troubleshoot it. (b) Check the DLC3 The vehicle’s engine ECU uses ISO 14230 for communication. The terminal arrangement of DLC3 complies with SAE J1962 and matches the ISO 14230 format. 2.INSPECT DIAGNOSIS (Normal Mode)(a) Check the DTC using the hand-tester.NOTICE! Hand-tester only: When the diagnosis system is switched from normal mode to check mode, it erases all DTCs and freezed framed data recorded in normal mode. So before switching modes, always check the DTCs and freezed frame data, and note them down. 2.检查诊断（普通模式） 注意！手持测试仪只有：在诊断系统从普通模式切换到检查模式时，会擦除普通模式下纪录的全部DTC和保持帧数据。因此在转换模式之前，请总是先检查DTC和保持帧数据，并将它们记录下来。 (1)Prepare the hand-held tester.(2)Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.(3)Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON. （1）准备手持测试仪。 （2）将手持测试仪与DLC3连接。 （3）将点火开关拧到ON位置，按下手持测试仪的主开关。 (4)Use the hand-held tester to check the DTCs and freezed frame data, note them down. (For operating instructions ,see the hand-held tester instruction book.) (5)See page DI-17,DI-97 to confirm the details of the DTCs. （4）使用手持测试仪检查DTC和保持帧数据，记录下来（操作说明请参见手持测试仪说明书）。 （5）查阅DI-17、DI-97页去确认DTC的详细资料。 (b) Check the DTC (Using diagnosis check wire)(1)Turn ignition switch ON. (2) Using SST, connect between terminals 11(TC) and 3(E1) of DLC1.(3) Read the diagnostic trouble code from malfunction indicator lamp. （b）检查DTC（用诊断线检查） （1）将点火开关拧至ON位置。 （2）用SST连接DLC1的11(TC)和3(E1)端子。 （3）从故障指示灯读取诊断故障代码。 As an example, the blinking patterns for codes： normal, 12 and 99 are shown in the chart
