Applying 8.4 Software Update patch About this Software Update Patch This Software Update patch allows customers to apply the latest changes to the software update tools without applying the most recent full PeopleTools patch and without performing the typical regression testing required with a full PeopleTools patch. If you have installed or are planning to install the entire PeopleTools 8.4 patch, you don’t need to install this Software Update only patch. Use the PSUpdate batch file/shell script to apply updates to the PeopleSoft software update components. These components include Change Assistant and Environment Management components. When applying updates to these components, you must ensure that all the components are at the same version. Specifically, the Environment Management Hub and agents on all machines must also be updated when the Change Assistant client is updated with a specific PeopleTools version.
