Specification 1 General 1.1 General This specification describes the construction and outfitting of a steel coastal vessel which will be used in Indonesian waters. A special feature of the design is that the vessel is able to provide comfortable cruising accommodation for the owner as well as being able to carry cargo, equipment and passengers as required. The vessel is of slender form and has accommodation on two decks only; above and below the main deck. 1.2 Main particulars The vessel shall have the following approximate main particulars: Length Overall 41.71 m Waterline Length 38.945m Beam Overall 7.18 m Waterline Beam 6.225 m Draught 1.75 m Full load displacement 163 t (approximately) Engines 2 x 366 kW Range 1500 nmile Cruise speed 15 Knots 1.3 Cargo and equipment The vessel will carry cargo and equipment on the aft deck and at the aft end of the accommodation, this may include the following: Trailer and vehicle. Bagged and packaged cargo. The total capacity of cargo and equipment will be approximately 30m3 or 4,000 kg. The cargo and equipment will be loaded via stern door, the door is intended to allow access only and is not intended to used as a load bearing ramp. 1.4 Regulations The vessel shall be built and equipped to meet the following requirements: 1.4.1 . Classification Society rules. The vessel shall be subject to plan approval and survey by the China Classification Society - CCS. The class notation shall be ★CSA, ★CSM. R1 traffic ship. The vessel to comply with coastal trading requirement of 200 nautical miles from shore. 1.4.2. Local requirements and regulations. The vessel shall meet the requirements of the Hong Kong marinetime authorities (for pleasure vessels) and carry the Hong Kong flag. 2 Technical principles for delivery vessel 2.1 Loading index 2.1.1 Load The vessel is capable to load 12 tons of cargo on poop deck or can take a vehicle length of maximum 6m. 2.1.2.
