Chinese Education Should Be ChangedShirley田聪 （Tian Cong） 12130011029 “Education does not mean teaching people to know what they do not know; it means teaching them to behave as they do not behave.” Have you ever heart that? It is supposed to mean example is always more efficacious than precept. Today, many graduates can’t live independently, so their parents also go to college to look after them so that their children can keep their mind on study. If Chinese education system changes, students will be able to develop in an all-around way and become more independent; however, some persons object to this view because it will cause series of problems, but the changed system can make students become more active, healthy, and creative. It is obvious that Chinese education should be changed.To begin with, the aim of education is to be more pleasant, more useful, and, above all, to challenge students to think for themselves. Chinese education pays attention to the knowledge but ignore the practical skills. In fact, with the recent Chinese education, students are deeply unhappy. Students, sometimes, must give up some hobbies on account of studying. Besides, some newspapers or magazines say that today’s students lack independent awareness. In particular in some summer camps, this problem is more remarkable. Because of the system, students only know how to study better and make good grade. Now employment pressure is becoming more and more significant; students are like ants on the hot pan because they don’t know how they can achieve their value of life without any other practical skills. So many sad events have happened. According to a survey among senior school students and university freemen in one area, more than fifty percent have considered killing themselves because of the helpless and confusion.
