‧ - The Evaluation of Rural Soundscape in Lion’s Head Mountain Scenic Area Administration 1 2 3 Schafer 1973 Rural Soundscape 1994 1/f 1/f 1/f Abstract This study is to structure the rural soundscape around TRI-Mountain National Scenic Area through physical observation and field investigation. Rural area is the abutment between suburbs and natural environment, and it possesses their characters. Scahfer(1973) expounded the soundscape in rural area are canorous, and it is necessary to protect the rural area being over californicated. It was studied by Toshimitsu Musha (1994) that natural sounds favored by most people may have 1/f frequency character. According to this study, the soundscape near TRI-Mountain National Scenic Area will be analyzed whether it accords with Musha’s study. In addition, the typical TRI-Mountain Area soundscape can be found out and become the unique treasure of the area.
