Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Preface
Haier Group was the first brand in the area of the while appliance around the globe and one of the most valuable brands in China. Haier has established 29 production bases in around the world, 8 integration research and development centers, 19 foreign trade companies, wherein it owns more than 60, 000 employees in the world and has developed into a multinational enterprise group of a large scale. In 2008, Haier Group got 119 billion RMB of its global market amount. As great changes have taken place in the global market environment for Haier Group, to research the human resource management to face the new challenges of the market area especially the relationship between employee training and the job satisfaction inside the group of Haier would be of great significance for the further development of Haier Group, for the competition in the human resource management would play a key role in determining the future of one company such as Haier.
1.2 Research Motivation
The majority of ones lifetime is on work, wherein this period is the important period for one person to realize the meaning of his life after he becomes mature. Such a long-time life invests naturally let the employees have one expectation and one right to criticize the enterprises. In this view, the enterprise should emphasize upgrading the satisfaction of the employees, transfer the attitudes of the employees from satisfaction to loyalty to upgrade their willing to work for the enterprises, and then the enterprises are benefited. The employee training is believed to have relation with the job satisfaction of the employees to some extent, but which extent is that should be summarized by specific research. Considering the relationship between training and job satisfaction, it can be interpreted in a way that greater gaps between employers’ requirements and what employees actually possess leads to a greater lack of job satisfaction.
