Abstract: Finite element analysis was perf rmed n the shear and t rsi n f the rubber cylinder by using
the ANSYS s ftware. The effects f using different element types, material m dels, bulk m duli n the
tw different shape fact rs rubber cylinder were studied and c mpared with Rivlins the retical s luti n.
It is seen that with suitable ch ices, FEA results c nsistent with the the retical s luti n can be btained.
