It does not include non accredited programs such as Adult Continuing Education programs. This policy replaces?Eligibility for Admission to CIT as a Domestic Student Policy.?Definition of a Student Policy. ?Student Application and Enrolment Policy.?Online Enrolment (Interim Policy).?CIT 100 Point ID Checking (Interim Policy).There are separate policies covering ?Guaranteed Entry.?International Students Administration and Fees.?Students Under18 years of Age.DefinitionsAccredited programA program accredited by the Institute or another authority or a program from a Training Package and registered within the Institute’s scope. The outcomes of which are assessed and successful completion leads to a qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework.AdmissionA student is admitted into the accredited program when a CIT offer of a place in the accredited program has been accepted.Application FormA standard online or hardcopy form, completed by an applicant, to apply for admission to a CIT program.Application TypesTypes of applications that students may choose if applying. They are:General Admission – student applies for an accredited program using application form (online through CIT Student Self Service or paper). They are admitted into the program by CIT Student Services.Direct Access – standard student applies for an accredited program online through CIT Student Self Service, is immediately and automatically admitted, and then can go on to enrol online.
