Resource Allocation

This assessment tool is a simple way of assessing the amounts of support a child or young person needs to move towards the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes.
It is not detailed; it is a way of allocating an indicative budget which can then be used to deliver personalised support.
This assessment should be filled in with the child/young person and those closest to them.
The assessment should be completed as if there is no paid support already involved in supporting the child or young person.
The four columns:
No support/not applicable to me Indicates that the child or young person needs no additional support, this question is not applicable to this child or young person at this time, or the family chooses not to have support in this area.
Some Support Indicates that the child or young person needs some additional support e.g. some additional supervision or additional arrangements to achieve objectives.
High level of support Indicates that the child or young person needs substantial support e.g. 1:1 supervision
Acute level/Specialist support Indicates that the child or young person needs a high level of support e.g. specialist provision, 2:1 support, skilled supervision
