Module 2 Unit 2 A Beautiful Smile Zhang Bei Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! My name is Yu Rumin。。。I’m a teacher from Shi zhong Middle School. Today I’m very glad to have a chance to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is Module 2, Unit 2: A Beautiful Smile It’s from Student’s Book 4. I’ll divide my instruction into six parts. They are Teaching material Analysis、Students Analysis、 Teaching aims、 Teaching important and difficult points、Teaching and learning methods and Teaching procedures. Part 1. Status and Function The topic of this module is Friendship. The type of Unit 2 is reading and writing. It mainly aims to improve the abilities of reading and writing. This period is the second lesson in this module. It’s in an important position. If the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to master the whole module. Part 2. Students Analysis The students have learnt English for 5 years. For the higher students, it’s a good way to design different tasks to improve their skills. The students can take great interests in learning English at first, but they can’t concentrate all the time. In the teaching, it’s helpful to guide and encourage them by different ways. Part 3．Teaching aims 1、Knowledge aims: ( To master the new words and expressions: gift far away lonely be afraid to do sth and so on ( To master the key structure: No one knew who I was. I believe that 2、Ability aims: (To improve the ability of searching key information in the reading. (To write a leaflet by using the object clause 3、Moral aims: Cultivate the students to have a loving heart and develop their feelings of helping each other.
