Unit 4 Life in the future * I. Background Information Students:40 students in grade 7 Class Duration: 40minutes * II. Use the?future tense and adjectives to describe life in the future correctly. * III. Teaching Contents 1).Vocabulary: cable TV , satellite TV , cell phone , ?in the future , future life , study at home , send homework by email , get warm/cold , heavy rain ,strong winds , lots of free time, comfortable ,interesting, and so on. * 2).Grammar: Future tense affirmative, negative, interrogative sentence?structure and adjective?usage. 3).Key point: there will be , will do 句型 I will/won’t…. * IV. Teaching Procedures Step 1 Warming up (5 minutes) ? T: What are you going to do at this weekend? S: I am going to do my homework at this weekend. T: Are you going to play the piano this afternoon? S: Yes, I am/No, I am not. * T: What will you do at this weekend? Help the students answer: I will do my homework at this weekend. (Use “be going to +do” lead to“ will +do” .Let the students have?a preliminary concept about new lesson.) * Step 2 Learn new words and text (15 minutes) 1) Read the new words and have the students follow . 2) Use pictures on the PPT to help students understand new words. 3) Read the dialogues in the textbook and explain them. * Step 3 activity （16 minutes) 1. Divide the class into 10 groups, each group choose one question to discuss.(4minutes) ?the questions as follow: (1) Will there be schools in the future? (2) Will we have an easy or a difficulty life in the future? why? (3) With the help of robots , what will your life be like in the future? Choose 3 groups, and ask 1 student f
