Step1.Lead in.
1.Teacher asks: If you are planning an online trip,what city would you like to visit?By this way ,show the picture.
2.T ask:
1).How much do you know about Sydney?
2).Where did you get the information?
3).Do you want to visit Sydney in the future?
Encourage Ss to answer.
Step2.Listening.
1.Teacher says:Daniel and Peter are using the website “Around the World in Eight Hours”to plan an online trip to Australia.Turn to page 43 and read Part A1.
The notes about how to use the website havent been completed.
2.Guess the answers and fill in the blanks.
3.Play the tape of Part A1.
Check the answers together.
4.Ask them some questions.
1).What can we use the website to do ?
2).How do we use the website to learn about a city?
3).Can we see any pictures of the city?
4).Where can we find other information about the city?
Step3.Activity.
1.T: I want to use the website to get some information about Sydney .Can anyone tell me how to use the website?
2.Give them some time to prepare,then ask some Ss to speak in class.
Step4.Listening.
1.T:Thanks for your useful advice. Now lets listen to Daniel and Peters second conversation and complete Part A2. Before listening ,read the sentences and guess whether they are true or false.
2.Play the tape of Part A2.
3.Let Ss complete PartA2 and correct the mistakes.
4.Check the answers together.
5.Let some good Ss try to retell the text.
Step5.Practice.
1.T:Peter has learnt something about Sydney from the website. Hes writing about the online tour. Listen to the second conversation again and help Peter complete his article.
2.Let them complete PartA3.
3.Explain some phrases:
