Butverylittleisknownwithregardtofmininthe nighttime,becausethelowerlimitoffrequencyofthestandardionosondeistoo hightomeasurethenightvalueoffminwithoutinterference. AtYamagawa,themeasurementoffminatnighthasbeenmadebyshifting thelowerlimitoffrequencyofthestandardionosondefrom1.0Mc/sto0.5Mc/s. 1. Nighttimeconditions Fig.1showsthehistogramofthefrequencydistributionforfminEand fminFatnightfromAugust,1959,throughFebruary,1690.
