            英语学科教育测量与评价/语言测试与评估     浅析英语语言测试和评估的问题及其解决策略                           Problems on English test and measurement in China and the resolution  On now days, English test and measurement take a great part in English teaching in China and contribute great in the teaching process. It will grow more importantly in the future. Though English test and measurement has mage a great progress in China, there are still many problems and we have not still formed a whole system. Here I want to talk about some problems in English test in China and some resolutions on it.  Problems    Stress on test points and focus on paper test    In now English class, we used to test students by great number of papers and evaluate a student all by the points it gets in a paper test. It seems too single and unpersuasive to adapt only one standard. Actually we even can not adjudge one student by only what he can write but what can do by the knowledge of English. Especially English test consists listening and writing, with the later taking a larger part. If we just test and evaluate by points in a paper, we could not completely know how the study situation the students are in. And the last points can’t state anything but the students’ test techniques.    Insufficiency of validity and reliability    English tests are carried out by different schools in different places. Each school will adapt variable test papers. Three are also different English teachers in schools. In such case, how could we test in unit? Besides, many English teachers did not accept special train. They can not know better how to hold a test professionally and reasonably. So, there are problems through the whole process of testing which begin from the writing of the paper to the progress of carrying out of the testing. The key problem in it is the scienticalness of the paper. If the title in the test paper is not scientific itself, how can we test our students by it? If we judge students by this criterion, we
