StudyontheDroughtResistanceofSevenGroundCoverPlantsofLiliaceaeWangYingxuan(LandscapePlantsandOrnamentalHorticulture)DirectedbyAssociateProfessorWangYouguoABSTRACTDroughthasbeenthe mainstressfactorsrestrictingplant growthanddevelopment.Nowadaysgardenplants whichhavegoodabilityofdroughtresistancearemorepopularinthe ecologicaldiversitygarden.Groundcoverplants isthe largestfamilyinthe gardenplants,mostofthemhasgoodshadetolerance,Butalsosensitiveto soilwaterstress,sothedroughtresistanceofgroundcoverplants is the keytoimprove thedroughttoleranceofthe wholegreenspacesystem.Inthepaper,firstlymadeasurveyonspeciesandlandscapeapplicationofgroundcoverplantsofLiliaceaewhichhasgoodshadetoleranceinShenzhen.Thereferencesrecordthat:thereare54widespreadkindsofgroundcoverplantsofLiliaceaeinShenzhen, belongingto15genuses.Theinvestigationshowedthat:thereare13species ofgroundcoverplantsofLiliaceaearewidelyusedintheGreenParkofShenzhencurrently,belongingto6genuses.Secondly,basedontheinvestigation results,thedroughtresistancesofsevengroundcoverplantsofLiliaceaewhicharewell-knownintheareaofsouthernChinawerestudiedbyusingpotted-seedlingexperiment.Theirphysiologicalandbiochemicalchangeregulationwerecomparedbymeasuring7index,includingthepermanentwiltingrate, leaf water-losing rate, relative water content, relative electricconductivity,malondialdehydecontent,solublesugarcontent,freeprolinecontent，whichwasundertheconditionofsoilwaterstress.The resultsshowedthat7experimentalplantswereallgoodatdroughtresistancewhichmeansplantsofLiliaceaemayhavedroughtresistancepotential.Basedon thecomprehensiveanalysiswithsubordinatefunction,theconclusionwasasfollows:Ophiopogonjaponicusvar.nanahadverystrongabilityofdroughtresistance.Asparaguscohcinchinensis(Lour.)Merr.、AspidistraelatiorBlume、Dianellaensifolia (Linn.) DC. ‘Silvery Stripe’ were just followed.
