Differences in Concepts Chinese diet tends to be art and sentimental ,which is expressed as the stress on the flavor,color,taste,shape. Western diet tends to be scientific and rational, which is in the development of nutrition . for western ,nutrition is the most important ,so what they care is :calarie, fat ,suger,vitamin, while Chinese think a good dish should has a good taste, we always prefer to taste rather than nutrition. Nutrition is most important calorie fat suger protein(蛋白质) vitamin Taste is most important color aroma(香味) taste Differences in food material In China ,all diet cannot be done without vegetables. The word dish is for the sound, and it always has something to do with the plants . Westerners do not seem to have such a habit. The main ingredient is meat and plants are just the complement. Differences in range of material the main food of west are those, their recipes(食谱) are simple while Chinese recipes contain almost anything which can be cooked to dishes or not beef , mutton , pork , fowl(家禽) lettuce(生菜) , potato , carrot , tomato bread , milk , macaroni(通心粉) everything for instance, various kinds of animals wound not be cooked absolutely in west world, such as cats, d
