The best thing to begin with is answering the question,” What is an auto controller? An automatic controller is a mechanism measuring the value of a variable quantity or condition and it operation of the measured value from a certain predetermined one, that is, from some selected reference.A simple device like the light switch on the wall can be called a controller .But we did mot say an “automatic controller “.This device requires a human operator in order to fuction .If we agree to consider a human operator as a part of the system we may regard this common everyday exemple as a kind of automatic controller .In the case of the light swich on the wall ,the human operator must be always present with his fingers on the switch and with his eyes watching the lightness of the room. The widespread use of electric energery is t o a great extent due to the ease with which it can be controlled .An electric controller is a devices or group of devices, which serves to govern in some predetermined manner the electric power delivered to the apparatus .A controller may contain circuits whose primary action is that of signaling and the transmission of information, which may be a part of the control. Control circuits may be pneumatic, hydraulic. electric or electronic, the same classification being used for different kinds of controllers .The field of induction automatic controllers .The field of industrial automatic control ,from application viewpoint ,is very wide
