Study of Operating Mechanisms of Art Festivals in the USAbstract：The thriving art festivals in the United States of America have developed into one of the most important operating models for art markets. It has become not only an important interacting platform between artists and consumers, but also a primary channel of art marketing. After many years of field research, the author selects America’s southernmost state, Florida, as his designated region for study,analyze numerous art festivals and artists as case studies, and discusses operating mechanisms that have led to the success of US art festivals.In an effort to provide key references for establishing and developing similar art festivals in China, the article discusses in detail the following features of art festivals in America:Region of case studiesThe author focuses on the State of Florida where art festivals are booming -- in fact it is the state that hosts the greatest concentration of art festivals in the nation – as the state’s economy is largely driven by tourism.
