Course Overview: (课程简介) This course introduces students to a comparative study of the English and Chinese language from the perspective of word, grammar, sentence, rhetoric and text. It is hoped that the comparative study will polish students’ English writing skill. Students will be asked to read recommended books and memorize ten classical English writings, participate classroom discussion and accomplish assignments in each lecture. Opportunities of presentation will be provided for the students to demonstrate and share their learning outcomes.
