AbstractDSSS is well known for good security , anti-jamming and anti-multipath ability. DSSS signal has been widely used for military and mobile communication. How to detect and estimation parameters of DSSS signal under low SNR is of great significance, it’s also the main aim of the dissertation.In this paper, the author research on parameters estimation methods of DSSS signals. The parameters include chip period, carrier frequency, code rate. The estimation methods mainly include time-domain auto-correlation method, cepstrum detection, Carrier double and delay-and-multiply method. Deeply studies on the improved methods based on the traditional methods has been developed to reduce the SNR limitation. The improving thoughts mainly depended on accumulation average technique in corration domain, Smooth spectrum by periodogram technique, correlation processing technique and LMS adaptive filter. Finally, the author analyse and compare merit and demerit of the methods to balance the SNR limitation and implementation complexity.Additionally, a large number exeriments reveal the SNR limitation, we applied the best one for the parameter estimation of DS/CDMA signals. They share the same method and DS/CDMA signal has the higher correlation peaks and lower SNR limitation. Due to the similar characters of DSSS and DS/CDMA signal.
