ABSTRACTABSTRACTIn recent years,with the continuous development of information technology,the retail industry has developed with the headquarters of the Information Channel through information technology.Information system replaces the traditional tools,and becomes a powerful support of a fast-growing company.However,in order to meet the increasingly fierce competitive environment,business needs often change frequently in practical applications.But, when to meet these changes of demands,the traditional retail applications may not be easy to make corresponding adjustments, because the design of the structure is not flexible enough.This increases the cost of upgrading and the cycle which is not conducive to the health of sustainable development of the enterprise .So,the retail industry has become quite concerned about how to design a framework of excellent operational applications which can flexibly respond to changes of demands.This thesis begins with the development of software architecture.Based on the analysis of retail application of traditional architecture and some problems ,the thesis puts forward the SOA-based retail application architecture.Based on the architecture,the thesis designes a retail invoicing applications.Combination of object-oriented and service-oriented analysis of design,the thesis analyses and designes the retail applications and realizes the SOA-based retail application architecture.In the process of design ,the thesis completes the system design model by using Rational Rose modeling tool.On this basis,the thesis uses Power Designer tool to complete the database modeling.Finally,in the J2EE environment,the thesis realizes the deployment of services.And through the development of the C++ client,the realization of the service is verified.The results show that the development of SOA-based applications in the retail industry is feasible.The thesis has also developed reference to other similar applications.Keywords: Service-oriented architectur
